Description

This is the person's national identity number (in Norwegian: fødselsnummer), a unique, officially assigned, personal identity number. This attribute is by the general public and Feide considered as semi-sensitive information. This attribute is only released where actual need is demonstrated.

Format

In some countries, among them Norway, the national identity number is purely numeric. Other countries may include non-numeric characters in the identifier assigned by the official authorities, so string support is needed.
